Post-Doctoral Fellow in Design and Engineering of Next Generation Organic Molecules for Organic Electronics
Thin film electronics are becoming an increasingly important technology in our day to day lives; from organic light emitting diode (OLED) based phone displays, roll-up solar panels to bendable sensors for artificial skin the development of new materials and their integration into prototypes is critical. The Lessard Research Group (www.benoitlessard.com) and the Brusso Research Group (http://jaclynbrusso.com) at the University of Ottawa are developing emerging materials, characterizing their properties and integrating them into prototype based devices. From organic chemists to electrical engineers, this diverse and inclusive team can design, engineer and implement new thin film based technologies.
The Lessard and Brusso group is seeking a Post-doctoral fellow for the development of novel conjugated semiconductors and hole transport materials for an industrially funded project for the development of next generation OLEDs.
We are looking for a PhD in Organic Chemistry or strong synthetic chemistry background. Experience working with insoluble compounds, air free chemistry and experience working with different systems.
Location: University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario. (Living in Ottawa is mandatory)
Start Date: ASAP.
Salary: $40,000-50,000/year (depending on experience)
Duration: 1 year contract with opportunity to renew.
